What to confirm before ordering safety helmets

Model and material

Confirm the exact model and the configuration you want to order. Read the material listed for that model in the product catalog, together with its shape, adjustment options and packing information. A material name alone does not establish protective performance.

For example, the V-A catalog record lists an HDPE shell, multiple colors, push-button or ratchet adjustment options and packing of 50 pieces per carton. These details describe the listed model. They should not be copied to a different model without checking its own record.

If a product name or specification is unclear, ask for the complete model identification before comparing quotations. Review a representative sample when you need to confirm finish, fit and workmanship.

Suspension and adjustment

Confirm the suspension and adjustment system supplied with the selected model. Where the catalog lists more than one option, specify which option you want quoted.

Request the applicable user instructions and ask how the selected configuration should be checked, fitted and maintained. A catalog photograph may show an available view or option, rather than the only configuration that can be supplied.

Colors and logo

Confirm the standard colors listed for your model. If you need a different color, share a reference sample or color specification and ask whether it can be supplied.

For logo customization, provide your artwork, print size and preferred position. Agree the printing method, sample review and order conditions before production. Do not assume that every logo location or method is available on every helmet shape.

Packing

Review the packing unit and distinguish pieces from sets. Confirm the quantity per carton, carton dimensions and any special labels or packaging with your quotation.

Packaging and shipment details should be agreed for the actual order. Repeated dimensions in a source list should be checked before they are used for freight planning.

Product documents

Ask for the available product documents for the exact model and configuration. State the destination market and the documents you need, including their required language or format.

Management system certificates, product approvals and sample test reports serve different purposes. Check the named holder, model or sample identification, scope and validity information. A certificate for one company or a report for one sample does not establish approval for the entire product range.
